Ethio Telecom has elevated its mobile money platform, Tele birr, into a super app that provides users with access to an array of services within a single interface, including e-commerce, food delivery, entertainment, utility bill payments, transportation, and more. So without further a do let’s get into it.

Application Size

So the first thing I checked was the app size. app size is one of my measures to test an app BC the Larger the size the hardest it performs.

  • App Size 29 MB on Play Store
  • App Size 93.1 MB on App Store

This is very impressive, especially as a super app

Application Flow

The First Screen was the Updated Splash Screen and Login Screen. I Don’t Know I liked the Login Screen better, it is somehow cleaner.

Telebirr Login Screen

We know where everything is, we can log in or Create an Account. Good UI / UX.

There are 2 ways to create a TeleBirr account and the way they present it is so self-explanatory. Any user can see it and understand which does what. ( another point for Telebirr )

Since I already have an account am a login. After you enter your phone number and you will get a message with the OTP code

The App automatically feels the OTP Code on the fly but it is not going to confirm it so it is a bad experience but it is probably me overthinking.

After The OTP you will be asked to enter your 6 Digit PIN

I CAN’T TAKE SCREENSHOT FOR SOME REASON

Turns out I Forgot my PIN, so I have to reset it. To Reset my PIN I have to go to the Forget PIN screen.

Just like the first OTP, you will get an auto-to-feel for SMS. When you confirm the OTP you will get the following Message for about 5 seconds 👇.

TeleBirr : To reset your PIN, please call 127

Turns out I have to call 127 to reset my PIN.

Calling . . .

The operator asked for My Phone

Me : I told em

The operator : Asked for My Name

Me : I told em

The operator : Told me to it is not correct and gave me another chance to try again.

Me : I spelled it to be specific

The operator : Told me to it is not correct and gave me another chance to try again.

Me : I asked what i can do

The operator : Told me to visit the near by Ethio Telecom shop

It was Sunday so I decide to separate this blog in to Two Parts,
